十五本儿童英英图解字典大揭秘（已增加选购指引）

注意：
1）图书馆是不准照相的，我也不是专业间谍{:soso_e120:}，相片只是让大家看个大概，所以照片质素不高，好歹拍了一下午，大家将就哈！
2）主要拍了封面、有作者出版社ISBN那页（好确定版本）、字典使用说明（个别字典没有）、“B”的第一页、“Back"的解释、“Y”的第一页、“Yard"的解释（个别字典没这字就拍了别的Y字头的字）。主要是想大家在同一基础上比较。
3）字典的选择上，我没有选那些Picture Dictionary或全图片的字典，因为现在国内也有很多类似的出版，幼儿初学兴趣多过系统，我觉得不太需要海淘。当然也没有选全字的字典。
4）我没有比较纸质，基本上都是不错的纸，薄厚各有所长（薄的孩子拿起来轻松，厚的小手容易翻找）。
5）字典基本资讯主要来自amazon.com。
上图这项大工程终于完工了{:soso_e142:}！希望大家觉得有用，算给大家国庆的礼物了{:soso_e177:}！
鉴于有同学有疑问，我就再多说一点：
这些可以被香港图书馆选中的都是好的儿童字典，没有最好的只有最适合的。你可以从以下几方面考虑：
1）使用字典的人
低幼儿童应该用的字典是Picture Dictionary，就是通常以场景分类的、一字一图的那种。这里的15本字典通常都要上小学后才真正用的到。我家肉肉才2岁，我买的字典不是给她的，是给我的：比如，这个儿童字典里的字我要尽量熟识且可以根据字典内的简单解释给她讲的，如：Alligator is an animal, like a crocodile that has short legs and a long mough with very sharp teeth.
2）字典的排版
排版的喜好很个人，我自己比较不喜欢黑麻麻一片的。配图的喜好也是很个人的，我不太喜欢太多的图，觉得乱。通常，越小的孩子越要大的字、多的图。字大了，同样页数的字典就要牺牲解释的深度和单词数量。看你侧重哪方面了。
3）字典的页数和重量
儿童字典不是页数越多越好，太超越孩子的认识范围查找起来麻烦，太重了拿着也辛苦。精装版更好，因为用的时间长。
4）单词解释
解释的深入要跟孩子学习英语的深度成正比，不是越多解释越好，而且应该用孩子熟悉的字句去解释。比如以下两个spider的解释哪个更适合刚上小学的孩子呢？（当然是上面的那个了！）
spider: a very small animal with eight long legs (illustrated)
spider: an eight-legged creature that is an arachnid and that spins webs
此外，你是否需要辅以发音标示phonics（现在不是国际音标了）？这15本字典中有的没有发音标示，我第一时间就否决了。
是否需要词性提示？是否需要多例句？是否需要同义词、反义词、时态变化提示？
5）单词总数
以下是牛津网站对适龄儿童字典单词总数的建议。由于它针对的是英文母语的儿童，所以大家要将年龄根据孩子接触英语的时间做适当增加。
小学低年级7-9岁儿童字典单词量为：5000
小学高年级10-12岁儿童字典单词量为：30000
中学低年级13-15岁儿童字典单词量为：45000
中学高年级16-18岁儿童字典单词量为：65000
6）英汉还是英英？
越小学英文的孩子越适合用英英，大些孩子比如10岁以上更适合用英汉，因为他们的中文有一定的基础了，有翻译的能力。看英英字典对英文有一定基础的孩子是进一步的提高，但如果英文基础不好，英文解释都看不懂就失去工具书的意义了。
7）美国英语还是英国英语？
大家知道美音和英音是不同的，常用字中也有不少美英用法不同，所以针对北美和英国市场的字典也是小有分别的。中国比较多用英国的字典。
8）价格、牌子等
以字典可用的年限来看，价格的多少就不用太计较了，而且就算买最便宜的也是有用的。
信任大牌子和亚马逊销售量的，就去买DK Merriam-Webster Children's Dictionary，Scholastic Children's Dictionary，Oxford Children's Dictionary，Macmillan Dictionary for Children，买的人多自然有它的优点在那里。
我买了Jolly Dictionary，原因在第15本的介绍里有写，这本在15本里属于程度比较浅些的（而如上1 中所述这是我用来教肉肉用的）。这本安妮鲜花也推荐过，爸妈网也团购过的。我家的第二本儿童字典，应该会在上面的4个牌子里选。
（我刚又买了Macmillan Dictionary for Children 。在图书馆对它很有印象，封面还立体的，也非常重。我认为在有了Jolly的基础上，这本有35000词的是好补充。）
再次强调，请根据自己情况确定，我的选择可不一定适合你。

这本字典是唯一我买的一本儿童字典。比较喜欢它的颜色标示（起始字母分类和词性分类），读音的标记法，纸结实又薄，300多页也很轻。不过，刚发现表面比较光，如果台灯直射会有反光点，如果是柔光灯就没问题。
