【1938-2012】The Caldecott Medal for Best Illustrated Children's Book

凯奖从1938年到今,已有70多年历史,每年评出3-5本获奖绘本,已累积了近300本了。集论坛会员的力量,不知能否收集齐这些获奖绘本,大家一起努力吧。可以发到资源区,把链接贴在这里。
凯迪克奖(Caldecott Medal)
十九世纪英国的绘本画家鲁道夫.凯迪克(Randolph Caldecott 1846-1886)是英国一位非常受到儿童欢迎的图画书作家,在图画书的发展史上,Randolph Caldecott、Kate Greenaway及Walter Crane三位均占有举足轻重的地位。为了纪念他而设立了凯迪克奖,已有50年以上历史。
从1938年开始由美国图书馆协会(ALA)邀请教育学者、专业人士和图书馆员,组成评审委员会,就这一年出版的数万本书籍中,选出一名首奖和二至三名杰作,颁赠凯迪克金牌奖(Caldecott Medal)和银牌奖(Caldecott Honor)。得奖者必须为美国公民或居民, 并会发表于美国文学协会(American Literature Association ALA)的冬至会议上(Midwinter Meeting), 以及夏季讨论会上。

美国有关儿童文学的奖项种类非常多,凯迪克奖之所以能够脱颖而出,获得一致推崇,主要在于其评选标准的周延与创新,着重作品的艺术价值、特殊创意,尤其每一本得奖作品都必须有「寓教于乐」的功能,让孩子在阅读的过程中,开发另一个思考空间。

出版商会将在获奖的图书封面上,贴上印有凯迪克著名插画『骑马的约翰』的金、银奖牌。
