A welcome sign that Spring is here, daffodils are surely one of the world's most popular flowers. Who could fail to be cheered up by their gorgeous colours and nodding heads? We've brought together all our daffodil activities on this page so that children can enjoy them too!
We've got all sorts of daffodil activities for kids in our Daffodils theme, including colouring pages, crafts for all ages, fuse bead patterns, and printables for the home and classroom. Many of these activities are perfect for St David's Day and of course Spring!

Here's a quick and easy modelling craft for children. This daffodil magnet is perfect for Spring, St David's Day or Easter.
You will need:
Yellow and orange fimo or other polymer clay
Magnet
Strong glue
Instructions:
Shape six petals from your yellow clay and press together to make the base of your flower. Make a cone from orange clay. Press the point of the cone into the centre of the flower. Press in the centre of the base of the cone and flute around the edges to make your ‘trumpet’.
Bake the clay according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Using strong glue (and with an adults help) glue the magnet to the back of your flower.

In Wales it is traditional to wear a daffodil or leek on St David’s day, why not make our simple badge so you can wear yours. This is also a fun craft to celebrate the arrival of Spring!
You will need:
Egg box
Orange paint
Yellow card
Glue
Safety pin
Sticky tape
Instructions:
Cut one of the egg compartments from the egg box and paint it orange. Leave to dry.
Cut out a flower shape from yellow card. Glue the egg compartment to the centre as the trumpet.
When the daffodil is completely dry, tape a safety pin to the back so that you can wear it.

Bunch of Daffodils

Aren't these daffodils pretty? Welcome spring (or St David's Day) with this pretty bunch of handmade daffodils - an easy craft for kids of all ages.
You will need:
Egg box
Orange paint
Yellow card
Glue
Green drinking straws
Sticky tape
Instructions:
Paint the bottom of an egg box orange. Leave to dry.
Cut out 6 flower shapes from yellow card.
Cut the egg box into the individual compartments, gluing them to the centre of the flower shapes as the trumpet.
Tape a green straw to the back of each daffodil.

Get messy with our handprint daffodil craft - perfect for St David's Day, Mother's Day or Spring!
You will need:
Paper
Yellow, orange and green paint
Black pen
Instructions:
Keeping your fingers together, print 4 yellow handprints, with their fingers overlapping. These are your petals.
Print an orange handprint with spread fingers, overlapping the palm with the fingers of the yellow prints.
Add a green stem with the side of your hand.
When the paint is dry, use a black pen to draw on the lines of the petals.
