這一系列的故事主要在描寫小女孩 Junie B. Jones 在幼稚園裏所發生的故事,從第28集開始,則是描寫這個調皮的小女孩小學一年級所發生的有趣的故事.

故事從Junie B.進入小學開始，一路升上小學。B是Beatrice的簡稱，因為喜歡B的緣故，所以她總是這樣介紹自己－Junie B JONES。此系列廣受喜愛的原因不外乎是Junie B.不受拘束、總是脫離常規的行為與爽朗愉快的性情。透過主角本身豐富多樣的個性，衍伸出許多貼近生活有趣的故事。文字句型簡單易讀、對話口語，配合著令人捧腹大笑的有聲CD，讓剛開始接觸讀本的孩子，閱讀起來格外輕鬆有趣。
