Mr Bloom: Here and There sees green-fingered Mr Bloom (Ben Faulks) travelling to locations all over the country to encourage children to explore and take pride in their local surroundings.
In each episode, Mr Bloom meets a small group of children (tiddlers) who tell us what they love about where they live, and what they like to do with their families and friends.
The educational value of the show
Mr Bloom's Nursery helps children to:
- Get inspired by the world around them and learn about nature.
- Get their hands dirty finding out about fun ways to nurture and care for their environment.
- Sharpen and develop their observational skills through inspiring situations throughout the show (which little ones can't fail to notice!).
1. River Carron
Mr Bloom goes to Falkirk, where he helps create a wildlife garden by the river Carron.
2. Steam Railway & Museum
Mr. Bloom helps a group of friends brighten up the local rail museum's picnic area.
3. Apple Orchard
Mr. Bloom helps Beth and her friends plant and raise apple trees.
4. Falkirk Wheel
Mr. Bloom learns how boats can travel up and down hill on canals at the Falkirk Wheel.
5. Westquarter Glen
Mr Bloom looks back at all the places he's visited in and around Falkirk.
6. School Garden
Mr Bloom visits some Tiddlers who have an award-winning school garden.
7. Smithills Hall
Flynn and Ben love where they live because it's near Smithills Hall.
8. Horse Sanctuary
Emma invites Mr Bloom to visit a horse and pony rescue centre.
9. Bolton Museum and Aquarium
Ethan, Abbie and Kirsten show Mr Bloom the fishy things at Bolton Museum and Aquarium.
10. 7 Acres Nature Reserve
Mr Bloom looks back at all the places he's visited in the North West of England.
11. Seaside Safari
Giuseppe and Anna-Rose live near the seaside. They love to go there with their families.
12. Playscheme
Efanna, Alexander and Madeleine love to visit their local park because there's lots to do.
13. Surf Life Saving Club
Abigail and Joe are surf life-saving 'nippers'. Mr Bloom dons his wetsuit and joins them.
14. Margam Country Park
Emily, Georgia and Kirsten like to explore their local country park.
15. Sculpture by the Sea
Mr Bloom looks back at all the places he's visited in South Wales.
16. Cheese Farm
Jessica and Oliver are lucky enough to live on a farm with lots of animals.
17. Composting
Kian, Tiegan and April like to visit the Discovery Centre near where they live.
18. Summer Gardening Club
Disha and Parth go to a gardening club with their friends where they grow vegetables.
19. Osprey Conservation
Harry, Eloise and Dylan like to visit Rutland Water to find out about birds and insects.
20. Tag Rugby Club
Mr Bloom looks back at all the places he's visited in the Midlands.
