就此我总结了基础阶段P的10大方面:
1. 26个字母中辅音字母的规则发音(比如c和g都只先学hard sound)
2. 短元音发音以及与首辅音,尾辅音的拼读,例:tap, it
3. Final e 原则,元音字母发字母本身音,例:tape…
4. 长元音的发音:包括单独元音, 双元音但发单音(ai, ee, ow…),二合元音(oi…)
5. 元音与双辅音(th, sh…)和三辅音的拼读,例:tap, it, shell, spr-…
6. r-controlled 元音,例:ir, er,ear…
7. 各种变格发音,-s, -ed, -ing, -er, -est, -‘s…
8. 前缀与后缀,例:recut, endless…
9. 音节的相关拼读规则:开音节,闭音节,元音音节,final e 音节, r-controlled 音节,多音节
就算时代发展,造了很多新词,也很难是10倍数量级。
一个美国的词汇测试网站说: A native English speaker with a 4-year college degree is able to understand about 20,000 words. For ESL learners, minimum of 10,000 words is necessary to score high on TOEFL, GRE and GMAT.
我自己大约是2.3万,基本上读国外出版的严肃读物没问题。我曾经在欧洲议会工作过,以2.3万词汇量deal每天的news-release, 各种会议都没啥问题。
另外最近看过一个分享,孩子词汇量的计算: (年龄-2)*1000
