请教英语故事的分类

想给孩子普及下对故事的分类，我也已经知道了部分分类，比如 fiction nonfiction
但是并没有一个全的完整的解说

还有 folk tale, fairy tale 等等， 还有nonfiction类下是否还有其他分类，
请教下知道的TX

Children's literature by genre:

A literary genre is a category of literary composition. Genres may be determined by technique, tone, content, or length.

1.Picture books, including board books, concept books (teaching an alphabet or counting for example), pattern books, and wordless books.
2. Traditional literature, including folktales, which convey the legends, customs, superstitions, and beliefs of people in past times. This genre can be further broken down into myths, fables, legends, and fairy tales.
3.Fiction, including fantasy, realistic fiction, and historical fiction.

4.Non-fiction.

5.Biography and autobiography.

6.Poetry and verse.

Children's literature by age category

The criteria for these divisions are vague and books near a borderline may be classified either way. Books for younger children tend to be written in very simple language, use large print, and have many illustrations. Books for older children use increasingly complex language, normal print, and fewer, if any, illustrations.

1. Picture books appropriate for pre-readers or ages 0–5.
2. Early Reader Books appropriate for children age 5–7. These books are often designed to help a child build his or her reading skills.
3. Chapter book appropriate for children ages 7–12.

4.Young-adult fiction appropriate for children age 12–18.

前面在学习H5的有关阅读的日志时，找到的答案：

英语书籍基本分为Fiction 和 Non-fiction 两大类， 即虚构和写实。 在虚构中又分为： Fantasy 和 Realistic Fiction。 Fantasy描写的故事是在现实社会中根本不可能发生的故事。 比如我们都很熟悉的哈利波特就属于这一类。 在 Fantasy中包括: Folktales 民间传说，Fables 寓言， Tall Tales and Fairy Tales 童话故事， 和 Science Fiction 科学幻想小说等。 在 Realistic Fiction 写实小说中包括 Historical Fiction 历史传奇故事, Humorous Fiction 幽默故事等等。 在 Non-fiction 写实一类中有 Autobiographic 自传, Biographic 传记, Newspaper 报章新闻, Information Books 资料和知识书籍等等.
