bump
1.Knock or run into someone or something, typically with a jolt
2.Meet by chance
3.Hurt or damage (something) by striking or knocking it against something else

thump
1.A heavy dull blow with a person's fist or a blunt implement
2.A loud deadened sound
3.A strong heartbeat, esp. one caused by fear or excitement
