读The best nest遇到的问题

The best nest中有一段话：Soon they had all the hay,all the straw,all the string,all the stuffing,all the horse hair,all the man hair they could carry.They took it all back to build their nest.
问题1：straw前面是all ,不需要用复数吗？前后文中用到straw都是用的复数。
问题2:They took it all back to build their nest.这句话里的it用的对吗？是否该用them?
我买的是中英双语版本的，不知道原版中的句子是不是就是这样。向大家求解

straw只有做为吸管才可数,做为麦秆是不可数的.
all 并不是可数名词的标志,all 可在修饰可数也可以修饰不可数名字.

在这里hay straw string stuffing hair 都是不可数的...集中在一起,也是不可数,所以最后用了it.
