talk with you: meaning extented conversation.talk to you:a simple action(mean you are not silent).
talk to you:give you some instruction, or lesson.


So the father can say \"Son, I need to talk to you about your problem tonight\"
\"Hi, this afternoon your friend ABC talked to CED\"

没跑题呀。talk with you， 强调的是和你详谈。talk to you, 是要和你谈话的动作
May I talk to you this afternoon? 没有什么身份高下问题，问的是可不可以下午和你谈谈。

我在国外，不过我的Email是和另外一个公司的人很正式的通信，其实他也是中国人。但email一定是英文的。我之前也没细想过talk to 和 talk with 的区别。只是看了他的回信后好奇搜了一下。
