请教个牛津阅读树中的句子

近期看牛津阅读树，经常遇到一个句子,就是生气以后经常用，XXX was cross.这中文应该怎么翻译呢，求指点

估计但凡看过牛津阅读树的小孩，一生气就会说I am cross，呵呵，比如我家闺女，如今就好这一句。

cross 是形容词, 意思是 annoyed or angry

cross 生气
这个词在牛津树和Thomas书等英国绘本或书籍里常常见到，AmE基本不用这个词。

用法是：to be/get cross with sb (about sth)

p.s: 老实讲，每次给孩子读Thomas，我都自动把cross替换成angry。

Thomas and friends里面cross也用得很多，一生气眼珠子就使劲转，这让我深刻理解了cross的含义，就是生气得眼珠都已经交错在一起了，哈哈哈。
