英国学生科学读本--第三第四课
这两课，有一定的联系，所以合并在一起预习：第三课the lead-pencil
第四课 black-lead
先来看the lead-pencil的summary：
A lead-pencil is made by putting a strip of black-lead into a hollow between two pieces of wood. The two pieces of wood are then glued together. On the side of the pencil the maker's name is printed, and the letters H for hard, B for black, or H B for both hard and black, show what kink of pencil it is.
这个课文，真的是让孩子特别认真仔细的观察一件物品，不错。
来看几个细节：
1、cedar：雪松，香柏（松科--雪松属）拉丁名cedrus deodara
现在很多的所谓环保铅笔，是用报纸卷的，节约木材。但是，不知道能多环保哈。
2、铅笔真的是铅吗？
不是的，lead-pencil里面的“铅”是black-lead，也就是石墨。那么，咬铅笔会铅中毒，是错的吗？
也不是，因为铅笔的涂色剂里面，是含铅的。所以还是不要咬铅笔哦！
3、古罗马的时候，还真是用铅条写字的，但是它容易断、字迹模糊，还有毒，所以几百年前就被石墨取代了。
现在之所以还叫铅笔，只是一种延续叫法了。。
说到这个铅器皿，那时候的贵族还真是喜欢用呢！因为结实啊，成形啊什么的，
有的城市的引水管道都是铅的，因为不生锈啊。。后果可想而知。其中之一就是脾气暴躁。。。
据说，商纣王，就可能是因为血铅太高，因此才暴虐而被推翻的哩！

接着，来看第四课的summary：
Black-lead is a kind of matter called carbon. It is found in some kinds of rocks in big lumps. It is put on stoves and grates and other things to keep them from rusting. It is made of the same kind of stuff as the sparkling diamond and the common black coal.
然后第四课里面扩展了一些c的知识，钻石、石墨、煤之间的异同点。
这套书好处就在于，译注里面还真的有一些拓展阅读，扩展知识，我很喜欢。
那么，不好预习的一个知识点又来了，矿物质、元素，这些属于化学的范畴吧。
还真是要好好研读一下拉瓦锡的《化学基础论》
但是，给孩子讲课，就不能用《化学基础论》了，美国高中科学的《科学发现者》的化学上下分册不错。
电子版虽然已经找到，徐爸爸还想把整本书做成word版本的！
