he Emily Windsnap series is an ongoing series of children's fantasy novels written by British author Liz Kessler. The first novel, The Tail of Emily Windsnap, was published in 2006 throughCandlewick Press, who has published the entirety of the series to date. The series first began as a poem that Kessler was writing about a "little girl who lived on a boat but had a big secret".[1] An editor recommended that Kessler turn the poem into a book.
