这本书的文字感人，配图也很生动，每个怪物都穿着和小男孩一模一样的条纹睡衣，手里拿着小男孩睡觉时搂着的绒毛小兔子，表情眼神都拟人化了，把怪物由小男孩变来的以及孩子的心理活动都表达得神灵活现。打动人的是书中表达出的纯粹的母爱——无条件的爱，那是孩子心中的爱的源泉，也是孩子自信心的源泉啊！
