In Cambridge University (Second Day in England)(在剑桥大学【在英国的第二天】)

We went out Fitzwilliam College to have the classes, walked a very short way into another college. The classroom was under the ground. The class is about English education.
If you are going to State school, you study there since five years old to eleven years old, and study on in Secondary school or Village College until 16, then you will have to go to VI Form College, in the very end, here comes university.
But if you are going to go to independent school, you go there since seven years old and study until you are thirteen and go to "Public School" until 18 and go to university.
In the afternoon, we went riding on the River Cam. It was great fun as I watched the water shimmer under the sunshine, the water was clear as glass, I can see some tall grass under the water. On the river it makes you have a peaceful feeling, as if nothing worries you and nothing ever will. The willows bowed to us, and then and there we went under a bridge. When you speak loudly under a bridge, you can hear echo. Looking up, the bridge's under looks so near as if you stand up on the boat, you can touch the bottom of the bridge with your hand.
Everybody was talking and laughing on the boat, they looked curiously at the ducks that swam by and took a picture whenever they passed by. The ducks glided on water gently, leaving a line of water behinds them. The students asked the rower some questions as we went on the river while I thought of the poem our teacher had told us to sing:
Very quietly I take my leave
As quietly as I came here;
Quietly I wave good-bye
To the rosy clouds in the western sky.
The golden willows by the riverside
Are young brides in the setting sun;
Their reflections on the shimmering waves
Always linger in the depth of my heart.

The poem was beautiful, the river is just as beautiful. Everyone's got a smile on their faces.
When we are finished riding punting, we went to visit the three colleges.
We went to Trinity College first, we saw the statue on the door. It was holding a round ball with a cross with its left hand, and the left hand is holding-a chair leg! Our teacher told us a story. One night, a drunk student took off the truncheon and changed it into a chair leg. The teachers discovered it in the morning and changed it back. But the next day, they noticed that the statue was holding an umbrella, so they thought, "A chair leg is better than an umbrella." So they knocked out the umbrella and found that chair leg and put it back on again.
There was grassland in the middle of the college, and the buildings surround the grassland, there's a fountain and some places for you sit. The buildings look beautiful because they are gothic architecture.
Then, we went to Saint John 's College. The whole college was symmetry, except for the gate. The top of the gate has an eagle's head looking left. The college was built on an old hospital.
Last, we went to King's College. King's College's buildings look big and beautiful, but all of the colleges look less fun than Fitzwilliam College. They are all square shaped, while in Fitzwilliam College, you can see a building here and there. As the sun begins to set, I noticed a round stone, there's four lines of the poem < Saying Good-bye to Cambridge Again > on it:
Very quietly I take my leave
As quietly as I came here;
Gently I flick my sleeves
Not even a wisp of cloud will I bring away.
