It divides common, useful vocabulary into "domains" that include words related to such topics as walking, talking, speed, happiness, sadness, buildings, size, frequency, change, temperature, weather, disasters, teaching, learning, love, hate, age, and stages of life. Each chapter is interesting and well-illustrated, introducing the words of a domain in related groups on a continuum, then presenting them in several contextual exercises, then using them in a reading passage, and finally extending the domain with collocations, alternative word forms, and discussion or writing questions.

旧书店里找到的引进版，两本快做完了。从标题可以看出，它解释近义词的区别。
