A mysterious corporation and politician claim they have a solution for problems like him and his friends. The G.R.O. Initiative makes some big promises for even bigger results. When implemented they seemed too good to be true. The initial changes are great but with compliance comes a dark cost that Zeke isn’t willing to pay. When he and his friends stumble upon a shocking truth, one wrong move could lead to their silence, or worse. The fire is spreading, and he has a choice to make:
Lose his mind and join the hive, or stay true to his identity and burn the institution to the ground?
The Standardized dives into the post pandemic minds of middle schoolers, their teachers, and the money hungry leaders using them like pawns in a bigger chess game for the minds of the lower class. After COVID, education needed an overhaul because, in truth, they couldn't go back to "normal." A government leader and mysterious group gives the San Bernardino School District exactly what they've always wanted: Control. Follow Zeke and his crew of misfits as they fight the power that would see that every child become standardized, whether they like it or not.
About the Author
E. Anthony Taylor graduated from BYU-Hawaii then University of Redlands with a Master's Degree of Learning and Teaching. By vocation he is an educator but by heart, an author of fantasy and science fiction. When he's not writing or working he can be found going on adventures with his family, reading, dancing, or working on his fitness.
His debut novel The Standardized drops 2021. His series Curse of Queens is in the works.
