TD Theme: How the World Works
Central Idea: Inventions over time allow societies to function more efficiently
Teacher questions:

PYP探究课的一大特点是在学习过程中要不断research,深入思考,并写大量的reflection。
Freya又耍小聪明偷懒,凡是要写发明家的report就写爱迪生,凡是要写发明的就写爱迪生发明的电灯泡。在好几篇writing递交之后,终于有一天,老师忍耐不住了,告诉她不能再写爱迪生和灯泡,必须换别的内容。小丫头回来一想改成electricity,继续通不过。最后一波的research和reflection的内容不得不改成“玻璃”来写,终于通过了。
3周的学习过程中,孩子自由组队(每组1-3人),创作自己的发明,并在今年的Science Fair上以小组形式展示成果。
Freya和她的好友组成2人发明组,Freya的想法是做一个doodling machine,好朋友想做个开铅笔盒机,最后的参展作品是两者合体,取名Doodling Machine。 名字必须要高大上,哈哈哈。
