My Children’s Day

Hi, I’m Maggie. Today is the first of June. It’s Children’s Day in China. We’re excited.

In the morning, I go to school. My classmates and I have a good time on the playground. We play basketball and football. We can run and hop together. We’re very happy. And we say “Happy Children’s Day” to each other.

In the afternoon, my friends and I have a party at my home. We eat delicious cakes and snacks. We drink water and lemonade. We tell stories and joke. We sing and dance. We have fun.

In the evening, my parents and I take a walk in my neighbourhood. We chat and laugh. We feel relaxed.

Look! This is my Children’s Day gift. It’s a long skateboard. I can ride it very well. It’s cool.
