前天,在某种情形下,儿子有点气不忿地坐到书桌前,一气呵成了如下短文:
There was once a little boy named Nick. One day, he was trying to solve a difficult math problem. His dad was listening to rock-and-roll music. He asked his dad to turn down the music. "You'd have to learn to be undisturbed by it," dad said. So Nick tried to be undisturbed, although he still can't concentrate.
A few days later, dad was doing a very, very hard crossword puzzle. Nick was playing with the dog, shouting. "Be quiet!" dad barked at him. "I'm trying to concentrate." Nick thought it wasn't fair. When dad was disturbing him, he had to get used to it. When dad is disturbed by him, he had to stop. How can that be fair? Why don't dad get used to it?
What do you think? Is Nick right?
今天爸爸看到了,脸露坏笑问:Who is that NICK?
