Rescue
A monk took two dogs—one white with black spots and the other was like a panda—and went to exercise. The dogs were restless because they had already exercised for long time so they sniffed anywhere. Suddenly they began to bark. The monk knew something was happening. “Maybe a traveler is in trouble.” So he went back to the monastery to find a compartner to find the traveler. So, a search party was organized.
The dogs led the monks through the snow. The monks dragged a sledge behind the dogs in case they need it on the way back. There had been high winds the previous night. To make things worse, now there were heavy fog and the temperature was -20℃ below zero. They acrossed the pass and they heard weak voice from the snow—a man was trapped under the snow. The dogs dug him out but he was freezing. He was taken to the monastery on the sledge they had brought.
The man was unconscious for the morning and afternoon. At dawn, the man got recovered and told him that what had happened to him the previous night:”I hadn’t packed enough cloth to wear in this cold place. Minus 30℃ is more than I could bear. I got freeze and I can’t move. I was standing in a depression and I slept in the snow. When I woke up, I was covered by snow. I can’t move. I cried for help and then, about two hours later, you came to rescue me. But I was so cold that I got unconscious. You have saved my life. Thank you very much! ”
