前几天听到坛子里有个小朋友读这本书的其中一课,想起来我也买过这套书。今天翻出来看,还真是不错。我自己看了前半本,也学了不少。估计我们家小朋友的英语水平能看这套书时,这套书该出第三版或者第四版了。

4. Oranges: they are in sections, so it is easy to eat them.
5. The Coffee Plant: Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, Ivory Coast, or Ethiopia. people pick most of the coffee beans by hand. under large trees. the trees protect the coffee plant from the sun

1. Music and Behavior: the sound of western classical music (Mozart and Bach) makes people feel richer.
2. Blues and Jazz: slaves, the nineteenth century, the American Civil War (1861-1865), South (Louisiana and mississippi), a person who "sings the blues"feels sad. blues songs express sad feelings, guitar, harmonica, piano. some famous blues musicians and singers are Bessie Smith, John Lee Hooker, and B. B. King. Jazz came soon after blues. Some famous jazz musicians are Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis, and Wynton marsalis.
3. Rock and Roll: rock and roll came from jazz and the blues during the 1950s. Bill Haley's "Rock Around the Clock". Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly and Chuck Berry. rap or punk,mixtures of rock and roll and talking or other sounds.
4. Country-Western Music: cattle
5. Latin Music and Salsa: speak Spanish or Portuguese. salsa, play cards.
