问:What's happening in this picture?
答:He's reaching for the fishbowl high up on the stool!!
问:Is it dangerous?
答:Yes,he might fall off and break the blow.
       细节:1、 He is standing on the stacks of books!      
                  2、The two fish in the bowl are scared! 仔细观察鱼缸里雨的表情,很害怕,scared
 
问:Who do you think the woman is?
孩子们会说:A mummy,a teacher,or a grandma
问:Can you guess whether she is happy or angry?
答:She is angry.
问:How do you know that?
答:The gesture shows she is angry.
 
问:What’s David doing?
答:He is drawing some pictures.
问:Where is he drawing the pictures?
答:On the wall.
问:Where should we draw the pictures?
答:We should draw pictures on the paper.
问:Is David left- handed or right -handed?
答:He is left -handed.
问:Is he tall enough?
答:No, he is only 5 years old, so he has to stand on his toes.
问:What is David drawing?
He is drawing a hand, a star and a tic-tac-toe game.
问:Do you know how to play this game?
答:Yes,I do.
 
问:What’s David doing in this picture? 
答:He's reaching for the cookies in the bear shaped jar!
问:Is it dangerous to stand on a chair? 
答:Yes,it is.
问:What do you usually do when you what to reach for sth which is quite high?
答:It's a better way if you could ask your mum or your dad for help.
孩子会自己说找mum,dad,grandparents
问:Look at the cupboard,What else can you see on the cupboard?
答:I can see two tea pots,some tea cups , a toaster(面包机)and another two jars.(孩子不会的,老师家长可以提示)
展开话题:Do you know how to make tea?or Do you know what we need to make tea? (话题是否展开,依据情况而定)
答:We need hot water,tea or tea bags.
问:Let’s come to the toaster?Do you know what it is for?    
这时候可以渗透希望文化,toaster机会是西方家庭的必备品,是用来toast bread(烤面包的),再涂上butter(黄油)就可以吃了。
答:It's for toasting the bread.
问:Please look at the two jars. There are some missing letters. Can you help to find the missing letters?
答:This is the word sugar and this is this is the word flour.(可以给孩子提示,这是在kitchen里面)
孩子们答对了,这时候不要吝啬您的赞美之词, Good job!!
在读每页的文字,No,David! No,no, no. 建议都让孩子们读,让他们学妈妈的语气,小家伙们反应很热烈!

问:Guess what David has done?
答:He has just jumped in the muddy puddle.孩子们联想到peppa pig, 同时可以联想到 bear hunt里面的 thick oozy mud.
细节:1,the mud all over his body
           2,two mushrooms on his head
           3,some grass and even a worm sticking to David’s face
问:If you were David’s mother, would you be mad?
答:Yes.
问:what would you say to David ?
答:No David,go to take a bath!
 
 
问: Who is David dressed as?A pirate or a captain.
孩子们答案不一,本就没有正确答案
问:What toys can you see in the picture?
答:octopus,duck,shark~ ship,torpedo(鱼雷)
孩子们问我torpedo是干什么的?
我说是underwater bomb, a weapon!
问:Oh,look at the water, the water is overflowing down to the floor,why is that?
答:The tap is on or David forgot to turn off the tap.
细节:这几个玩具的表情是shocked
有个孩子说,David is too dirty,the water is green. 另一个孩子说不对,从tap流出来的水也是绿色的,呵呵~孩子的观察力!!!我说是,是消毒过的水,呵呵~ 我就用中文说的
洗完澡,David 就 ran down sidewalks naked 孩子们很喜欢这一样!
问:Look at this,David is running down the sidewalks without wearing anything!
       Is it good or bad?
答:It‘s very bad.
问:Do we need to wear clothes when we go outside?
答:Yes,we do.
问:What’s David‘s Mum saying?
答:Come back here David.
细节:注意这个小狗,在David goes to school中也出现了,在这个图里小狗的表情是很惊讶。
 
 
Look, David is dressed as a marching band musician!
孩子们就会说他装扮成警察 这也是中西方的文化差异. 英国的很多乐队是这种装扮的。
问:What is David playing with?
答:He is playing with a big spoon and a frying pan.
问:Look,David is wearing a special hat?What is it?
答:It's a pan,a deep sausce pan.
文化渗透:我们中国人用 大炒勺 pot 比较多 火锅叫 hot pot,pot是锅. 老外喜欢用frying pan,(煎锅)sauce pan 比较深的,这可以联想到典范有一课 pancake race
问:David is making noise, is it good or bad?
答:It's not good. The noise is vey annoying. It might wake up a sleeping baby or neighbours next door.
让孩子知道 不要打扰别人的生活。
 
 
这页也是孩子的大爱  How creative David is,though it's not good to play with food.
问:What's happenng in this picture?
答:David is making a toy by using the food!
问:What does the toy look like?
答:He has got a potato head,a fork body,two bean arms and two chicken legs.
问:What’s in the glass?
答:Water or milk.
问:What does Mum say?
答:Don‘t play with your food.
孩子们都说这个小人儿像David 我仔细一看还真像~ 
文化渗透:国外都是分餐的,每个人都一个盘子,我们中国是大家一起share的。
 
问:Look at this picture,what’s happening?
答:David‘s mouth is full of food.
问:Can you please list all the food that David is eating?
答:A carrot,a chicken leg,a blueberry,some beans,some broccoli,some cauliflower and maybe some meat.
可以提问孩子分别来回答!
这时候,可以向孩子讲解table manner:
1,Don‘t eat too much in one mouth,small bite is good.(小口吃)
2,It's not nice to talk while you are eating
问:What’s Mum saying?
答:That‘s enough,David.
这句话的中文是够了,David~  在slpat the cat里面也出现过~ splat的同学追着小老鼠,老师出来解围,That's enough!

答:No, he is unhappy or upset.
指着电视问孩子:
问:What is this?
答:A television.
问:Is he a super man?
答:Yes,he is.
问:Guess what has happened in this picture?
答:David wants to pretend a superman, but it's bedtime and Mum asks him to go to bed.
问:Will David do what he’s told?
答:Certainly not.
 
 
问:Look at this picture, what's David doing?
答:He’s jumping on the bed. 绘本five little monkeys孩子们熟悉,很容易联想起那个故事.
问:Who is David dressed as?
答:A superman.
问:Look at the pillow and the Teddy bear,what’s happening?
答:The pillow is up and down. Teddy is upside down.
细节:1,David is wearing a pair of red boots,maybe they are Mum‘s shoes.
           2,The paintings on the quilt are all aeroplanes,it shows that Daivd like planes. Boys' taste.
 
 
Look at this page. It's so disgusting!(恶心的)
问:What's David doing?
答:He's picking nose?
问:Is it a good habbit or or a bad habit?
答:It's a bad habbit. (展开问孩子们还有哪些恶习是小朋友不应该有的)
问:Will he eat it?
答:I guess so. (动画里有David吃鼻涕的图像,孩子们都很喜欢!{:soso_e113:})
这页也是孩子的大爱, 书上这句话当时 confused me 什么叫stop that this instant? 做功课知道了:this instant 相当于副词instantly,immediately,立刻马上 所以这句话的意思是Stop that immediately 在国外我经常看见父母训斥naughty kids 就说 stop that.
 
这两页也是 孩子行为习惯的教育题材
问:What’s David doing?
答:He's watching TV?
问:What's the TV program?
答:It's about space and spaceship.
问:Is this room tidy or messy?
答:It's messy.
问:What do you do with the toys after you finished playing?
答:I put them in a toy basket.
孩子们会想到peppa pig里面的 basket玩具篮子。
这里面的玩具是不是可以让孩子们一一列出来呢?很好的词汇练习,让每个孩子说一个。这就需要家长老师做功课了
wagon(小拉车,绘本高频词汇),baseball bat,ball,robot,rugby ball,toy gun,clown,horse,dinosaur,etc.(等等)
 
问:What‘s happening in this picture?
答: David is playing baseball !
问:Is it good to play ball game inside the house?
答:No,it is not good.
问:What's your favourite sport?
答:My favourite sport is football.
问:What’s David wearing?
答:He‘s wearing a helmet.
问:Why is he wearing this?
答:To protect the player.
问:Look the things around David,can you guess what will be broken?
答:The vase,the clock,the music box。。。
 
孩子们的预测然后到下一页check it out,look the pieces on the left bottom. 左下角是 music box的碎片。
问:Where is David?
答:He is in the time out corner!(naughty corner,反思角)
问:He is crying, isn’t he?
答:Yes,he is crying!
问:What is broken?
答:The vase and the music box.
文化渗透:在国外的家庭和学校,对于犯错误的孩子,都会让孩子反思~ 就是time out~ 有的time out corner 很人性化corner都摆着书,让孩子可以看书(在樱桃老师的博客里看到的)我个人很喜欢这一点 discipline 纪律性是要的
   
问:Does Mum call him David or Davey?
答:Davey.
问:Why Mum calls him Davey?
答:Davey is David’s Nickname(小名)and it shows Mum loves him.
问:Will Mum give him a hug?
答:Sure!
妈妈用了Davey的昵称,表示出妈妈对孩子 的疼爱~有的孩子看着David伸着小手,说David投降~我说是要妈妈给他hug。
看着David的眼睛里,亮晶晶的tears.

love的主题来了:Even though david has done all the naughty things,Mum always forgives (原谅) him and  loves him!!!让孩子们也好好爱妈妈!
我会问孩子?Do you like David and would you like to makes friends with him?
能有一半的孩子回答是NO.
我也抓住这个机会教育他们:我说我小学的时候有个同班男同学特别调皮,大家都不愿意跟他玩,现在这个孩子各个方面都很棒,还在做慈善活动呢,这这样做既是希望能对那些调皮的孩子有一些鼓励,又是让那些所谓的'乖孩子'的孩子能和所有的孩子和平相处, love应该是open的,不是自私的,也算是人文关怀吧!
建议的activities的设计:
1,role play,让两个孩子一个扮演妈妈,一个扮演David,如果是家长,就更简单了,最后的hug和I love you很是温馨
2,画David,David长得很有特点,round head,triangle nose,像蚂蚁一样的身体,小小的黑眼珠。。
      画完了,让孩子展示自己的作品,用英语描述一下画中的David.
3,列出书中David所做的所有naughty things,并让孩子们帮忙改正这些事情,这对孩子也是行为教育的一个总结。
