前几天拿到Roald Dahl的书the witches , 当时是中午吃饭时书送到的,丫头拿到书,饭都没心情吃,开始看了。下午2点出门前,丫头说发现书中有不少拼写错误,我让她指给我看,果然看到有些句子中的单词 W 写成了 V,比如 wig(假发),写成了vig, while 写成了 vhile .
当时因为急着出门上班,没多加细看,只是我心里开始打鼓: 难道我买到盗版书了?不可能呀!
今天呆在家里无事,我把那本the witches 拿过来阅读,看到P69页的时候,终于明白不是单词拼写错误,而是这个witch 发音的问题。她总是把 W 发成 V.比如 the witch 吼道:You may rrree-moof your vigs!

As well as that, she did something funny with the letter r . She would roll it round and round her mouth like a piece of hot pork-crackling before spitting it out.
想来丫头是没读懂这几句话的意思,所以才认为书上印刷错误,不过她能发现单词拼写错误也还不错!
