David has had a very good second term. He continues to challenge his learning and consistently works to improve in all subject areas. He is especially making some great improvements with his writing; however, he still needs to work on polishing his writing to become more formal, as opposed to casual. He is still a quiet member of the class and is encouraged to participate more in class discussions.
He is able to:
1. Write and express ideas and information to persuade, support, and engage in a detailed and well-organized manner.
2. Understand and explain, at a high level, problems that involve rates, ratios and proportional reasoning.
3. Demonstrate an excellent understanding of all concepts presented in Science this term through projects, daily assignments, test scores, and participation. His presentations on the Respiratory System adn Dr. Oz project on A.I.D.S. were very well researched and presented. He was able to effectively answer comprehensive questions about his topic from both his classmates and teacher.
4. Meet expectations in Social Studies this term. He demonstrates a very good understanding of feudalism as a social, economic and political system, and is able to analyze the major effects of contact and technology in the decline of feudalism.
Ways to Support Further Growth:
1. Take a more active role in class discussions as it would enrich his learning and enhance his sense of being a valuable participant.
