David has settled nicely into the routines of Grade 8. He is a kind and caring student, who is concerned with his studies and always wants to do well. David has made some great connections in our class; however, he needs reminders at times to remain on task as opposed to socializing.（这句话大致意思是：我儿子经常需要提醒，上课跟别人讲话，没有集中注意力在任务上。） David does challenge himself to exceed assignment expectations, and we would encoruage him to continue to do so.
- Make personal and somewhat creative responses that conect with the novel, The Outsiders. His writing presents a series of related ideas that are sometimes supported with accurate examples.
- Demonstrate a very good understanding of Integers, Operations with Fractions and Algebraic Equations.
- Demonstrate a very good understanding of the Scientific Method, Cells, Diffusion and Osmosis units. Assignments, labs, and tests were generally completed with high standards.
- Describe how physical physical geography influenced patterns of settlement, trade and exploration.
- Effectively gather, organize, interpret, and evaluate a body of information from a variety of sources.

- Complete regular review of learned material in preparation for tests and quizzes.
- Continue to read a variety of non-fiction and fiction material for enjoyment.
