《杰克与梦幻岛海盗》讲述的是迪斯尼经典反派人物-虎克船长及史密先生，再加上一群充满热情和勇气的儿童海盗，在梦幻岛上所发生的冒险故事。儿童海盗的首领-杰克，常常遭遇虎克船长的威胁，为了确保秘密基地的安全，同时顺利完成各种海盗任务，他必须靠着和队员琦琦Izzy、阿比Cubby以及瞭望员-鹦鹉史卡利Skully的合作，才能惊险度过每一次难关。《杰克与梦幻岛海盗》是专为学龄前儿童及家长设计的2D卡通影集，每一集的节目都充满了交互式的冒险，让小宝贝在愉快的气氛里学会团队合作、基础数理、尊重生命，并体会勇气与宽恕的重要。
迪士尼指出研究人员和学龄前小孩与幼儿园儿童老师交谈过，发现孩子们能很容易了解基本的事实，不过缺乏社交技巧，像是分享东西或当一个好的倾听者。《杰克和梦幻岛海盗》(Jake and the Never Land Pirates)，迪士尼新推出的节目，是讲述一群孩子和虎克船长(编注：《小飞侠》里的反派角色)一同去冒险。尽管虎克船长是个坏蛋，杰克仍然在最后结尾邀请他来玩，而迪士尼说这是个重要的社会课程。
