[答疑解惑] 求助贴：谁能说说“jump”和“hop”的区别？

看了一通，还不是很清楚，但是有个大概的了解了，可以根据语境慢慢积累了。

jump：普通用语，指任何位置、方向的跳跃，也可指双脚跳
hop：指人单脚跳，也可指鸟、青蛙等的跳跃，当然还有兔子跳
还有skip：两脚交替地跳或跨

英语中有很多的跳，都是很难区分的

如果善用英文词典, 每种跳都不一样, jump, hop, skip, bounce, leap....

jump.是指跳离开了地面，离开了刚才接触的地方。
hop,对人是单脚跳，对小动物是齐足跳。

我看的这个累啊！

● A hop is usually done by leaping into the air with the use of one leg for humans, although rabbits hop with the use of both its feet.

● A hop is a light and small jump, usually on the same place but not always.

呵呵，老人家，还能翻译一下。比如小朋友蹦蹦跳跳回家，用那个跳。

If you hop, you move along by jumping on one foot.
When birds and some small animals hop, they move along by jumping on both feet.

If you jump, you bend your knees, push against the ground with your feet, and move quickly upwards into the air.

一个跳就分这么多种，谁还敢说英文比中文简单

jump：
普通用语，指任何位置、方向的跳跃，也可指双脚跳
hop：

leap：
大跨度的，有一定高度和距离的跳跃。侧重身体猛力向上升并向前的动作
bound：
连续跳跃，多指向上或向下跳跃
skip：
两脚交替地跳或跨

练习一下：
1，He ___ up the steps happily and opened the door
2，He__ off the wall and fell down to the ground
3，The bird ___here and there looking for food
4，The boy ___ the brook
5，A fish ___out of the water,

1, bounded, 从题目中可以看出，he是非常高兴地跳着上台阶，bound可以突出其心情；
2, jumped，跳下墙，然后摔倒了。用jump即可表示此意思；
3, hopped，题目是说鸟儿到处跳来跳去的找食物，hop符合此意
4, skipped，小男孩一跳一跳地跨过小溪。这其中包括了“两脚交替的跳”这个动作，因此skip符合；
5, leaped，鱼儿越出水面。鱼跳出水面，再落到水里，这个过程是有一定跨度和高度的，leap符合此意。

小贴士：
体育运动中的“三级跳”的英文是：hop, skip and jump
其实大家只要知道这个运动的过程，就能很形象的理解这三个动词的差别咯。

hop和jump有区别。hop对人来说是单脚跳，对四条腿的动物来说，是后面两条腿跳，能够hop的常见动物是rabbit，bunny （兔子）和kangaroo（大袋鼠），joey（小袋鼠）；能够jump的动物有很多，因为很多动物只能四条腿一起跳，如dog，cat，horse，elephant等。
