[答疑解惑] MTH 里的一个疑惑

MTH book 8 << Midnight on the Moon>>里的一个疑惑

孩子看了 MTH book 8 << Midnight on the Moon>>， 说书里有个错误。
chapter 3 , 原文“ It takes fourteen Earth days to equal one day on the moon”。
孩子告诉我月球自转一周是28天（地球日）。（汗！我百度了一下， 确实是28天）。

看了上下文，没有太多线索。

请教一下坛里的高手：

one day on the moon 是翻译成“月球上的一天” 还是“月球上的一个白天” ？
欧美的习惯“月球上的一天”是否用a whole day on the moon 比较合适？
如果是的话,
这句话改成 \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" It takes 28 Earth days to equal a whole day on the moon”就不会那么有歧义了.
