Bethells Beach Trip
On Wednesday the year 6 syndicate went to Bethells beach for our school trip which is part of the inquiry study of “into the wild blue yonder”.
Bethells beach is so huge that we only walked part of it. We had a bush walk around the tranquil Lake Wainamu and through the magnificent sand dunes.
On the sand dune it felt like walking on the sizzling desert. Stepping on the sand, I felt like I was on a cushion because I kept on sinking into the thick sand. The hilly sand dunes were really steep, some of us started to climb the sand dunes and we felt like ninjas walking on the walls. We wanted to have a race to see who can climb to the top first, but our teachers spotted us so we got told off and we couldn’t see who won.
The lake Wainamu is like a see-through mirror so clear and blue. There was rain coming and going on that day. When raindrops spat onto the lake and aroused thousands of pits, it looked like numerous white flowers blooming on the turquoise lake. The tap of raindrops sounded like its singing “listen to the rhythm of the falling rain”. But in recent years, the water is infested by exotic fishes like the cat fish. Auckland council has to take work to fish out all the exotic fish.
It is a tiring trip but it's rewarding. I have learnt about the early ancestors of Bethells and how human activities influence the natural environment. We are going to do some more research about how the sand dunes form and learn more about the native plants and animals.
into the wide/wild blue yonder (literary)if you go into the wide blue yonder, you go somewhere far away that seems exciting because it is not known I have a sudden desire to escape, to head off into the wide blue yonder and never return.

Jagged rocks tower above me
Floating sand skims below me
Wind howling beside my ears
Screaming and talking everywhere
Tickling raindrops fall on my jacket
Prickly thistles everywhere I go
Muddy tracks with rotting leaves
Splashing water right behind me
Beautiful waterfall hangs above me
These are a few of the pristine things
Sprinting sand races after me
Serene stream swims before me
Howling wind congratulates me
Dripping raindrops parachute onto flying leaves
Fencing thistles prick my legs
Beating winds hammer through me
Food and water restores my energy
Humid heat brings me down
As I rest on Bethell’s beach.
The numbers that can be arranged to form a rectangle are called Rectangular Numbers
i guess it is 9 because its a square number whereas the rest are rectangular number
2*3=6
2*4=8
3*4 or 6*2=12
7*2=14
3*5=15
BUT
3*3=9
The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane 《
Flora & Ulysses: The Illuminated Adventures Newbery Medal 2014 (2014
The miraculous journey of Edward Tulane。

Louise,The adventures of a chicken, 两本小说The Tale of Despereaux (《浪漫鼠德佩罗》2004年纽伯瑞金奖)和The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane (《爱德华的奇妙之旅》 因成为都教授的心灵鸡汤而爆红)。
The Tale of Despereaux

Hunger game 2 – catching fire, cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2,还有The lord of rings (周末会去魔戒和霍比特人拍摄地Matamata玩,先把电影重温一下。)
Dear Mr. Henshaw by Beverly Cleary (1984 Newbery medal)
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkein
The loser list, revenge of the loser, jinx of the loser。
My country and my people和 From pagan to Christian。
The count of Monte Cristo(基督山伯爵),The prisoner of Zenda(曾达的囚徒), Don Quixote(唐吉珂德),The three musketeers (三个火枪手),The 39 steps (39级台阶)。
