[答疑解惑] 请问一下：那只小鸡一直在叫怎么翻译啊？

clucking 好像是母鸡叫哦，鸟叫是tweeting (Horrid Henry上看到的），不知道小鸡叫是什么呢？鸟叫还可以用chirping，不知道tweeting和chirping有什么区别呢？

always 太长了， Does the chick peep all day?

耳熟能详的儿歌《Old MacDonald Had a Farm》就是说各种常见动物叫的，廖彩杏推荐的那个“Wee Sing- Children's Songs and Fingerplays”原版歌词是：
Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O!
And on his farm he had some chicks, E-I-E-I-O!
With a chick, chick here, and a chick, chick there...
所以小鸡叫是chick, chick
这首歌里鸭子叫是quack，牛moo，火鸡gobble，猪oink，驴hee haw。
我家有这本正版歌本，楼主需要的话可以拍照给你看。

barnyard dance这本书里有一句:scramble with the little chicks cheep, cheep, cheep.

Emily Gravett的绘本《The Odd Egg》里面小鸡刚生出来用的拟声词是“Cheep Cheep”，刚出生的小鸟用的是“Tweet Tweet”。

a Little Glolden Book里的那本《Baby Listens》by Esther Wilkin里面又用" Cheep Cheep"形容树上的鸟叫，但是绝大多数绘本里用“Tweet Tweet”形容鸟叫。

刚才问我美国朋友，他说小鸡叫用“chick"或者“cheep”都可以。
