一起加入美国小朋友的暑假阅读比赛吧（内附免费电子书）
暑假是孩子学习的黄金时段，利用假期可以多阅读一些书籍，提高自己的阅读能力，扩充自己的知识面。
美国的Scholastic出版社（全球最大的儿童图书和多媒体软件的出版和发行商）每年暑假都会为孩子举办一个叫做Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge（Scholastic暑期阅读挑战赛）的活动，这个活动通过网络进行，面向全球，最关键的是全程都是免费的。
今年的活动时间是5月4日到9月4日，在今年的活动中，Scholastic还特意邀请了12位在儿童图书界享有盛名的作家，为本次暑期读书活动创作了12本图文故事，免费供参赛者阅读。值得注意的是，这些独有的有声电子书外面都买不到哟！

看到上方的12个图标了吗？其中有3个已经被点亮，另外9个还是灰色的。这12个图标就是对应12位名作家为本次活动特意创作的儿童故事书，每周会点亮一本，点击任意一本的图标，就能阅读这个故事啦！
当您点击其中一本故事时（比如The Weatherings），您会进入下面这个画面！
故事是有声的，所以点击LISTEN TO AUDIO就能听到语音故事啦，如果继续往下翻页，就能阅读这篇关于天气的故事了。
【创建账号】
如果不只是想看免费的故事，还想参加阅读活动，需要注册账号，账号分为三种类型，一种是KIDS（儿童账号），一种是EDUCATORS（教师账号），最后一种是PARENTS（父母账号）。
PARENTS账号会多一些给家长阅读的文章，其余的功能和KIDS账号相同，这里选择注册KIDS或者PARENTS账号皆可。
【参与活动】
参赛者需要在登录账号后，在LOG MY MINUTES中输入孩子当天阅读的分钟数，活动鼓励每个孩子每个礼拜总共阅读115分钟，当累计阅读时间到一定阶段时，孩子就会得到勋章啦，不仅如此，孩子还可以选择免费下载一本电子书作为小小的奖励。
看看我家憨憨刚得到的一枚酷酷的飞龙勋章，与此同时，他自己还挑了一本Dragon Masters作为自己的小礼物！
其实，通过这个每天记录孩子阅读时间的方式，可以帮助孩子养成一个定时阅读的好习惯，勋章和奖品则是激励孩子坚持下去的动力！
当孩子积攒的阅读时间越来越长，收集的勋章和奖品越来越多，TA肯定会很自豪的！而在这份自豪中，孩子也在潜移默化中培养了一个良好的学习习惯，一举两得！
【创作自己的故事】
除了加入阅读比赛，孩子们还可以加入故事创作比赛，孩子们可以在线创作自己的原创故事，并且有机会获得签名图书呢。
看到下图这个充满科技色彩的画面了吗，在这里就可以进行故事创作比赛了，赛事分为7-8岁年龄组、9-10岁年级组以及11-13岁年龄组。
选择自己合适的年龄段后，孩子会看到一个大转盘，转动转盘，白板上随机给出了4组关键词，孩子们的任务就是用这4组关键词来编一个故事，当编完故事后，再通过语音或者文字提交上去即可！

美国儿童演讲训练指南及资料分享
演讲在美国是一项非常重要的技能，在生活里、工作中所接触的老外，无一不是能出口成章、侃侃而谈，咱们华人也真是自叹不如。演讲是一门技术活，这里面要考验人的逻辑思维、语言表达、肢体语言、反应速度、情绪控制等等多方面的指标，演讲能力的训练不是一两天就能一蹴而成的，而是需要长时间的锻炼和积累。如果问孩子什么时候可以进行演讲训练，我的建议是越早越好，早在憨憨上pre-school的时候，学校里面就开始有意识的培养孩子们念诗歌、当众演讲了，如今憨憨已经一年级，他们学校更是每周布置一个演讲主题，让父母帮助孩子事先准备，然后孩子在班级里表演，最后由老师打分，并且将评分表让孩子带回给家长。
上图就是憨憨其中一张演讲评分表，老师给孩子的演讲列了若干个评分标准，非常细致，其中分为CONTENT（内容方面）和PRESENTATION（演讲方面）两个类别。【内容方面】（1）主题表达方面。分为三个标准，分别是：- 主题表达清晰
- 稍微有些偏题
- 演讲过程中需要提示
（2）是否有介绍？（3）是否有总结？（4）主题思想和感受是否表达清楚？【演讲方面】（1）眼神控制方面。分为三个标准，分别是：- 眼神能很好和观众交流
- 眼神只是停留在一两个观众身上
- 以及眼神朝着地面没有面向观众
（2）姿态方面。分为三个标准，分别是：- 面朝观众，站姿挺拔
- 脚没有站直，而是在晃动
- 身姿没有保持挺拔
（3）声音方面。分为三个标准，分别是：- 声音很清晰，富有感情
- 声音不是很大，远处的观众听不大清
- 声音很小，很难听懂

怎样教孩子学单词，美国老师有妙招！
插播一下，因为平日太忙，有时候回复不及时，请见谅！我的WX是nju_haozhao，如果需要联系我的，也可以通过WX与我取得联系！：）还记得大学时候，为了那四六级，每天我都在学校里面苦逼的背着英文单词，有时心里在琢磨，如果身在异国，是不是天生就有一种学习英语的天赋了呢！：）最近在看憨憨学习英文单词，看着老师的那些要求，竟然发现与我们小时候学习颇有几分相似，这才发现，其实学习英语单词和学习汉字一个道理，背诵、默写、练字一样也少不了，都是拼的苦功夫啊！让我们看看憨憨老师的单词教学要求，一起体验一下吧！【单词默写】Spelling words will always be posted on the website by Monday and tests will always be given on Fridays. If there is no school on Friday then the test will be on Thursday. The test will be the 12 words, plus 3 review words (the first week they will be review words they should have learned in Kindergarten) and there will be 2 dictation sentences using the spelling words. I will say the sentence and they will need to write it with correct spelling and punctuation (capital letter and a period or question mark). Capitols and punctuation are counted. The spelling words are then expected to be spelled correctly throughout the year in their writing.上面这段文字就是老师的教学要求，每周一的时候，老师会将本周学习的单词布置下来，到了周五的时候会进行默写。每次默写12个单词，另外再加上3个之前学过的单词，所以共计默写15个单词。此外还要听写2句话，这两句话也将会用到之前学过的单词。在孩子进行默写的时候，特别是对于听写的句子，除了考验拼写是否正确之外，还要检查标点、大小写、空格等是否正确。举个例子，有一次老师给孩子们听写“I like America.”，就是这么一句话，有的小朋友忘记最后的句号了，有的小朋友“A”忘记大写了，还有的小朋友是不小心两个单词中间多空了几格，这些都是扣分的！所以说，学习单词没有什么捷径，就算是美国的孩子也得一个单词一个单词的反复背诵、不断默写才行！【背诵诀窍】但是这个背诵也不意味着纯粹的死记硬背，还是有点小诀窍的。这不，憨憨老师提供了一些小窍门，让她的学生更容易的记住单词的！小窍门如下：~Put the words in ABC order~Use the words in a sentence~Use as many spelling words as you can in one sentence~Think of rhyming words~Sort words by noun, verb, adjective~Use the words in a story~Draw a picture to tell what the words mean翻译如下：- 将背诵的单词按照ABC的字母顺序罗列出来
- 背单词的时候，最好造一个句子，便于理解
- 造句的时候，尽可能多的使用背诵的单词
- 仔细思考单词的韵律
- 按照名次、动词、形容词给单词分类
- 编一个故事，故事中包含背诵的单词
- 以背诵的单词为原型，画一幅画，然后告诉大家这个单词是什么意思
