Cindy's class on Nov 22:

Review Day on Theme 1 & 2 (Book 2.1)

We did a review on the following topics to prepare for the mid-term exam on this coming Friday:

--character and setting of a story

--job and job functions in a school (principal, teacher, nurse, librarian, ....)

--simple past tense (lock / locked, hop / hopped, ....)

--rhyming words (cat / hat, bake / cake, .....)

--plural "s" and "es" (cat / cats, kiss / kisses, .....)

--photo with caption (a sentence next to a photo to tell the reader more information about the photo)

--how to rearrange vocabularies in alphabetical order

HW: Practice book p. 41

Cindy's class on Nov 23:

Review Day on Theme 3 & 4 (Book 2.1)

We did a review on the following topics to prepare for the mid-term exam on this coming Friday:

--Who and what is: author / illustrator / table of contents / title

--add "ing" to verbs ending in "e": (dive / diving, etc)

--add "ed" to verbs ending in "e": (rinse / rinsed, wipe / wiped, etc)

--Identify the subject in a sentence

--students use drawings to show their understanding on some vocabularies

HW: Review all highlighted vocabularies and make sure you understand the words.
