带3岁娃上外教课的体验,核心体会就是报班这件事,好老师最重要,无论线上还是线下。好老师必须:
1、了解并尊重小朋友所处的年龄阶段特点。比如3岁的娃还很幼稚,对一些低幼的活动比如配对啊,蹦跳啊还是很感兴趣。不太懂幽默,听不懂弦外之音。注意力集中10分钟左右就容易涣散,需要休息等等。老师不能用对待4岁,5岁,6岁甚至小学生的严格程度对待3岁娃。之前试听过一些外教(均无少儿英语执教经验),娃稍一走神就要炸毛,说You are not allowed to walk around in the classroom. Now tell me what you see on this card. 吓得我赶紧遁走。
2、耐心耐心再耐心,留出足够的时间给小朋友去听,去思考,组织语言。成年人做到这一点很不容易。大家可以掐表试试,半分钟大概许多人就要抓狂了。
3、娃卡壳时启发性地给一点(不要太多)线索,继续耐心等小朋友去反应(第2条),不强行给答案。
我们的外教老师基本能做到这几点,真心很感激了,不能要求更多。
每次上外教课我都会尽量去做笔记,一方面学习老师的英文表达,自己在日常对话中和娃重点运用,
提高语言复现率;另一方面也记下娃的反馈,以便下节课调整。

(1)贴纸游戏
遇到课前准备不足的情况,我就带一本贴纸书给娃和老师“消磨时间”。反正一节课就50分钟,除去玩闹,休息,吃东西,上厕所,
真正集中精力做活动也就半小时。以下场景大约用时8分钟。
外教(指着书上的蛋糕):That's a big chunk. It's got cherries on top. Looking delicious. Yum yum yum. That makes me really hungry now.
妈妈:A big chunk!
(遇到生词我会故意重复,加深娃的印象)
娃:This fairy has a slice of cake.
(娃不太会发S作为首字母的单词)
外教:A bite of cake? What? Could you say it again?
娃不做声。
妈妈:The fairy has a slice of cake?
(娃还不太会辩解,这种时候我会帮忙)
娃点头。
外教:Oh yes. A slice of cake. Can you say "slice"?
(鼓励娃重新说一遍,这点很好)
娃:Slice.(依旧不清晰)
外教:Yes, slice. Good.
娃:She took a bite of the cup cake.
外教:Good job! I won't notice the bite if you don't say. It must be really tasty.
妈妈:I didn't notice that either. The sticker is too tiny
(捧场啊捧场,戏精啊戏精).
外教:Now where do you think she might wanna sit? She must be tired flying all around carrying that cake.
娃:Here. (只把下半身贴在书上,试图让上半身和书页垂直)
外教:Good thinking. She's like, she's really sitting up straight at the table.
娃:Good thinking, Mummy Pig! Good thinking, Mummy Pig!
(粉猪常用台词,娃从其他地方听到十分兴奋,复现的重要性)
妈妈: Good thinking, mummy pig! Daddy pig likes to say that a lot, doesn't he?
(遇到娃爱的梗老母亲一定要接啊)
娃把仙女“啪”的一下贴到桌子上。
外教:That might be a bit rude lying on the table like that. It's a tea party! People will eat and drink there. Let's wake her up!(如果是我的话可能就直接peel it off了,老师用了更生动的wake her up)
外教:Wake her up. Great. Peel it off. Careful. Slowly. Can you tell me what these fairies have in common?
娃沉默良久。
妈妈:They all have the same thing, like what?
(怕娃不理解have in common这个词组,解释了一下)
外教:What does this fairy have that others also have?
(外教用更地道的说法解释了have in common)
娃还是沉默,估计已经走神了。
外教:How do they all get around? Do they have something that flaps?
娃:Wings.
外教:That's right. So what do they have in common?
娃:They all have wings.
娃指着一只蝴蝶。
外教:Yes, butterflies are invited too.
(对娃当下的兴趣点给予及时的反馈,这点很好) You don't want to stick it on. It's ok.
(2)故事排序
这种故事排序活动群群目前做得不好,事件发生的前后逻辑还不清楚,很考验老师和家长的引导技巧,最好不要直接给答案。
以下历时约12分钟。
外教:What do we have here? Oh yes, the pictures are mixed up. Can you tell me which one is the first picture?
(这里没有清晰地告诉娃任务是什么)
娃没头绪,胡乱点了一张。
妈妈:These four pictures tell a story. But they are in the wrong order. What happens first?(给娃解释任务要求)
娃沉默良久。
外教:
Or you could just tell us what the story is about.(很棒的启发)
娃:The cat is trying to touch the jar, but she breaks it.
外教:Yes. that's what the story is about. Look, the vase is on the table and the cat is on the ground. What's after that?
娃:Then she wants to get it.
外教:Yes. How does she try to get it? Does she climb on the table? Does she leap?
娃:She leaps on to the table.
外教:Ok. So we can put number 1 in this circle, and number 2 in this circle. Would you like to write them?
妈妈:The numbers show the order of the story. But it's a bit difficult for you to write at this stage.
(娃还不会写字,在教室场景下估计更有压力,我不想在这种事上浪费时间,含蓄地提出来)
但是娃还是想写,几分钟混乱。
外教:Would you like to trace it?
(外教似乎没get到,也可能是想鼓励娃用笔写字)
娃:Yes.
继续混乱。
妈妈:What happens next?
(试图回到活动本身)The cat is already on the table.
娃:She touches the jar.
外教:She isn't just touching it. She is?
(试图让娃接话,娃没理,自己继续) hugging it. And, does she hug it tight?
娃:No. She breaks it.
外教:Good! Now shall we put 3 and 4 in their circles?
