这个和农场动物主题有点偏差，但其中的动物包括了一些农场动物如鸡鸭猪等，所以还是列到这个主题里吧。
DK的小动物成长系列非常非常的棒，是DK里很经典的一个系列，不容错过。这一系列主要是介绍动物的成长变化过程，以大量的真实图片说明how anmials grow and change.
这一系列，适合
3-6岁的孩子，大家可以以和宝宝阅读为主，读完几遍之后，可以提问或角色扮演，重新回顾动物们成长的过程，大点的孩子，也可以让孩子画一画，说一说。

收集资料不是本帖的重点哈。这里欢迎大家就学习这一系列展开讨论，都来谈谈怎么学和打算怎么学的吧！毕竟，把资料用起来，一天学一点，一个月一个主题，一年就有不少积累。那咱们就从这个月开始，动手吧！

那第1周就从小鸭开始吧：有Z版提供的小鸡破壳的视频和小鸭这本的朗读音频.
1. 小鸭这一本讲述了in the nest, just hatched, first swim, feeding, in the water, new feathers, almost grown up 共6周的成长。
2. 值得注意的生词和表达：
I am beginning to hatch (emerge from the eggs)
chip away my shell (continuously break off small pieces from my shell 凿开我的壳)
webbed feet ((of the feet of some animals) having the digits connected by a thin fold of skin有蹼的脚)
beak (horny projecting mouth of a bird鸭嘴，鸟嘴)
dabble (To splash or spatter with or as if with a liquid 玩水,泼溅)
shake the water off my feathers
stay close to
watch for danger
yellow down (soft fine feathers 羽绒，绒毛 ) is falling out
duckling (baby duck)
huddle together (crowd or draw together 挤在一起 e.g. Let\\\'s huddle together--it\\\'s cold.)
fuzzy feathers (covering with fine light hairs 毛茸茸的)
学这些生词时，妈妈可以配合动作，再造上一两个句子，孩子很快就能掌握，再通过角色扮演反复使用它们，孩子就能记住了。
3. 几个阶段的关键事件：(大点的孩子可以列表整理每个阶段，小点的看图片说就好。)
In the nest: mother has laid her eggs, sits on them, i am beginning to hatch
Just hatched: chip way my shell, push myself out
first swim: 2 days old, use my webbed feet to push me through the water
feeding: 7 days old, get bigger, search with my beak for things to eat in the bowl
in the water: 2 weeks old, dabble in the water for things to eat, shake the water off my feathers.
new feathers: 3 weeks old, yellow down is falling out, new feathers are beginning to grow, fuzzy feathers keep us warm
almost grown up: 6 weeks old, almost grown up, feathers are white, wings are bigger and stronger
在看每一页成长图片的时候，可以先问问孩子：How am I different now? What can I do now 让孩子说说变化。
4. 活动参考：
角色扮演：妈妈就扮母鸭子咯，宝宝身上罩上毯子，蜷成一团，成为一个蛋。妈妈说:\\\"I have laid some eggs. How many eggs have i laid? Let\\\'s count.\\\" 宝宝就可以尽情表演小鸭的成长过程啦，妈妈可以同时帮忙补充各阶段的关键词，帮孩子记住这些表达.
我做动作你来猜：妈妈可以做一些动作，让宝宝来猜。 比如：lay eggs, search with my beak for things to eat, shake the water off, huddle together...
儿歌：Five Little Ducks (一起来学唱这首鸭子的儿歌吧)
5. 提问时间：（仅供参考）
What\\\'s imother duck doing?( She is sitting on her eggs.)
Why is she doing that? (Beacause she\\\'s hatching her eggs.)
What can a duckling do when just hatched? (I can see, stand, hear, walk, and cheep.)
When does a duckling go to swim for the first time? (When it\\\'s two days old.)
How does it swim?(It uses its webbed feet to push it through the water.)
When does a duck have new feathers? (When it\\\'s 3 weeks old.)
What happened to the old feathers?(They falled out)
What is the old feather called? (It\\\'s called down.)
What do they do when they feel cold?(They huddle together.)
What is the mouth of a duck called?(It\\\'s called a beak.)
...
6. 拓展：
Do you know any other animals who also have webbed feet? What are they?
Where do duck live?
What do they eat?
What sound does a duck make?
提问部分适合大点的孩子或基础较好的小孩子，孩子回答出关键词就好，家长可帮助补充完整。
另外，Let\\\'s read and find out science系列中也有一本是关于鸭子的，Ducks Don\\\'t Get Wet 我觉得非常不错，可以作为鸭子知识的补充，讲到了鸭子的生活习惯，饮食，迁徙，鸭子的种类，以及为什么鸭子天天在水里却不会湿漉漉的。点这里进入相关帖子。
