    Macaws are  a type of parrot.
    Parrot is the family name
    Like horse for donkey and mule

    字典中的pail 和 bucket 的意思差不多，但是具体到用法，和谁使用什么工具时候会有使用上的偏好。

    Pail 一般就是指圆桶，而Bucket可以是各种形状，

    Garbage pails are used in private homes, while garbage buckets are used in an  industrial environment. A bucket of ice cream holds several gallons of ice  cream. On the beach, a child plays in the sand with a pail, not a bucket. During  a fire, people have been known to line up and pass buckets of water down a line  in an effort to control the blaze.     take on your shoes,
    put on your clothes.
    take off your clothes,hat,shoes/
    put them in right place.
    我平时都这样告诉他。

    先来还原一下场景：


    The Wolf stands at the door of the third little pig's house and says

    "Little pig, little pig, let me come in."

    The little pig answers, "Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin."


    大致的意思是不是知道了呢？ 就是absolutely not 决不的意思。

    可是"Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin."这句话的由来呢，
    这句话的直译是： 我以我的胡子发誓。。。（下巴下的毛可不是胡子吗？）

    据说这是古代的传统，以上帝的、圣人的或者说话人自己的胡子发誓，
    用英文说就是 I swear by my beard that I will NOT open my door!

    take on your shoes,

    我们一般不太说 take on  shoes,  穿上这个动作可以用 put on， 然后 也可以说wear，wear还可以表示穿着这种状态，I'm wearing a hat...

    另外昨天去超市 结账时后面一个老外说英语 我竖着耳朵听 都没几个词听懂。担心用我这三脚猫功夫的英语和儿子说英语，以后他会不会只听的懂我说的？地道的英语都听不懂了？

    如果现在日常说的英语不够地道，以后会不会小孩也受我的影响？

    1, 都可以。
    But 有些小小的不同
    wait a moment/minute/second 这是常用搭配，更多的用在打断对方或者引起对方的注意，意思是等等，强调的不是这个moment，而是缓一缓的意思
    cambridge上的说法是：
    said in order to interrupt someone, or to get their attention or when you have suddenly thought of something important。
    例如：
    Now, wait a moment - I don't agree with that.
    Wait a minute - I've just had an idea.

    wait for a moment， 强调的是稍等一会，这个时间
    Wait for 后面加的是名称或者名称性代词，比如， wait for me， wait for the moment when everything is ready.

    2,play 和play with
    play football， 是指一项运动，踢足球。这固定搭配
    play with football， 就是 玩足球，有可能不是踢足球

    water play 是玩水， 或者play with water
    play on the slides 玩滑滑梯
    play hide-and-seek 玩捉迷藏

    有时候，他爬到我椅子上来，我让他“下去，自己玩去”应该怎么说呢？
