string和thread的区别？

a string can be made of several threads twisted together. i think thread should be thinner than string. but i am not sure.

sting: a thin cord or rope made of twisted fiber.
         a thin cord of wire, gut, or nylon on a musical instrument such as a guitar or violin.
thread: a strand of material such as cotton or silk that is used for sewing.

String感觉上比较粗，好像Rope. Thread比较细的线。而且,thread有更多象征意义，好像 "the thread that connects us together". 具体哪里用thread,哪里用String还是要看习惯。

string：弦；thread：线；rope：绳
