我只关心这个翻译正确与否。beat about the bush 是我的第一感，连字典都没翻。

kick the can down the road 还可以，但我觉得它是想拖延，让问题不了了之。和踢皮球不是一个意思。

踢皮球的含义是 to pass on responsibility to each other, 通常正式场合我也会这么讲 ...
give someone the runaround是指解释的让人晕头转向，不知所云。
扯皮和踢皮球应该都有“不负责的互相推诿”的意思。
所以buck passing; pass the buck to应该比较符合愿意。 感觉被楼主骗了的感觉。看到楼主在28楼已经发言了，而之前有不少人已经说过了pass the buck，那楼主为什么不肯定别人一下？
无端地浪费我的脑细胞去想别的。
