这是一本I Can Read Level 2的书。应该适合我的孩子的水平。讲解过程中，发现AB的一语双关的词语很多，妈妈先觉得有点不好解释，孩子倒是很有兴趣，觉得很有趣，好搞笑。
那我就先预习一下，尽量把这些双关语讲清楚一些。我参考了儿童的学乐字典。

[Board meeting]和[bored meeting]
"the board of a company" is the group of people who control it. 就是董事会。那board meeting就是董事会议。
可是board和bored发音相同，
"bore", verb. to make someone feel dull and weary, bored就是让人觉得无趣的、疲劳的。
Page 8.
[addition]本身有两个意思
- In math, addition isthe adding together of two or more numbers to come up with a sum 数学中的加法
- Anything or anyone new. 本文Ms.Hardy说的就是这个意思，她怀孕了，正在期待一个家庭新成员. I am expecting an addition.
Page 16.
[Addition]再次出现，这回的意思是
-A part of building that is added on to the original. 房子接出来的建筑，比如加一层楼，加一个阁楼等等。
这里AB又误会了，以为两个建筑工程师说的addition 和Ms. Hardy说的addition是一回事，所以即便地址错了，她还坚持让建筑工人留下来开工。

[Half bath] a bathroom containing only a toilet and a sink，洗手间，只有马桶和洗手池，没有淋浴或浴缸，也叫做"half bathroom"
AB理解成half bathtub，半个浴缸。
Break的意思有很多
Page 21.[Break ground]
to begin construction, especially of a building or group of buildings,相当于“破土动工”的意思。
Page 24. AB理解成“用锤子砸地面”。
Page 25. [a coffee break] a short rest, pause, or vacation. “休息一会”的意思
Page 27. [sand the deck]
"sand" verb. to smooth a surface with sandpaper or other abrasive substance 用砂纸等东西把地板磨光滑
AB理解成在地板上撒沙子。
page 30 [use two coats]
"coat" 在这里的意思是a thin layer，薄薄的一层，也就是给椅子油漆两遍的意思。
AB理解成clothing外衣了。
