学说地道的口语，换个说法。 - 启蒙理念方法

俺文化不高，似乎美剧都100%都是call me/give me a call啊。另外一直以为drop me a line都是邮件的意思。

特别同意9楼说法，对于非母语，还是用些常见有把握的说法比较好，容易说也容易被理解。

比如讲黄牛这个词，有scalper/hawker 两种说法，但后一种就从来不敢用，生怕不小心就说岔了被BS了

我一般认为英文包括英语和美语。

这个联想超出英语的范畴了。中国有些姓在美国很吃亏，像 Mr Hu（who)，是哪位啊？, 姓戴的不能当医生Dr (Die). 死亡医生。

至少在美国很少人用mobile, 大家都用cell phone. 所以一般都说call me, my cell phone number is blah blah...
另外打电话也可以用 "give me a ring", "ring me up".

我是搞技术的，口语不是很重要，自己口语也真不怎样。但如果你是做business, 口语的多样性会很有帮助

他没给你电话，你当然要用email了，他要是给你电话号码，再说这句话，你就打电话。口语就是口语。要分场合呀

不一定是信，text message， email都可以。

It can also mean to "call someone on the telephone". Although, that is not the original meaning. I think that is because now some people think "line" means telephone line.
Examples:
I'll drop you a line when I get to the airport. [ I'll give you a call.]

or
