[其他] 看看美国对于小孩上学前班的要求

海外华人的孩子在学习上在K-12的时候一般来说都不会差，因为家长重视，孩子也不笨。
我个人感受是，我们差的是公道修养，据我的孩子描述的，在夏令营里，撒泼，打闹，插队，不让座（校车上一人坐两个位置）的，我们华人占的比例是比较高的，虽然我们的人数相对比较少。成年华人的素质也是够呛，昨天一华人超市开张，短短两分钟就有两辆华人开的车插队，别车抢车位，丢人啊，来了加拿大十多年了，第一次看见插队抢车位的。

讲讲我当助教和上学时观察到的本地华人孩子和本地白人孩子的区别，本科的孩子，华人的成绩和白人的成绩差不多，白人的孩子的Report写得要稍微好一些。研究生和博士的生源中，我们华人的比例比较高有30%左右，但是牛人几乎没有，我所了解的大牛大部分是白人学生，总的感觉包括我在内的华人学生是目的性/功利性比较强，拿个学位，找份好工作，而白人的兴趣使然让他们能真心投入到科研之中。说说我们系的教授，我们当年流行的说法是，想高分毕业找工作的就找中国教授当导师，想读完博，接着走学术这条路的就找其他的大牛当导师，不用猜，你就应该是知道大牛多是白人了。

所以对国外的孩子来说，K-12牛真没什么的，高中毕业后，他们又不用削尖脑袋申请中国的学校（当然一心想爬藤的例外）。到了大学，真有兴趣的孩子再发力学习，他们的真正实力就显现了。国际上的科技大奖（包括诺贝尔）大部分被白人给垄断了就能证实这一点。

做过一段工读学校的帮教，基本上里面学校的家长理念是“玩吧，玩吧，只要不出事”。很羡慕你能生活在一个没有工读学校的国度了，当然最后OCDE的综合测评不高也很自然。

不是新闻联播看多了就好。 不过能不能告诉我这个OCDE的测评结果和你在13楼说的有什么关系吗?

12年后，国外小孩会对家长说，我怀孕了要休学，晚上我会去麦当劳争取找份小时工。
12年后，中国小孩会对家长说，我要去欧美读大学争取读完PHD回国。

中国很多要求么，上学校学前班以后就啥要求没有了，呵呵

这些要求看起来都比较容易达到呢，美国小学的孩子是几周岁入学？

有人说过一个中国和国外的小学家长的区别，很是认同，感觉就是这样。
老外家长送到学校后，说“好好玩吧"就走了，接住孩子后问“今天玩得咋样”
中国家长送到学校后，说“好好听老师话啊"就走了，接住孩子后问“今天学了点啥”

我们这的学区是就近入学，但是你能入任何一个学校只要还有空位，当然人家的学校要优先满足它们辖区内的生源。如果你选的是教会学校，那你家地税的受益人要改为教会学校系统（默认是公立学校系统）。我说的教育不了，就是指学校和家长沟通，或处罚过了，都没能奏效，学校只能说叫你换换学校，看能不能好点，其实就是想踢你出去了。

在美国，实际上也没有入学要求。这个是书中说的，能够胜任学前班学习的小孩应具有的能力。应该是给重视教育的父母看的，适用的也应该是好学区的学校。不过，你说的要求小孩儿换学校的事情我倒是还没听说过，美国小学入学跟家庭住址严格挂钩，应该不能换的，估计最多要求停学一下，回家教育。

我在加拿大这边看到是这样的，到年龄了，就去报到，没有任何的要求。但是如果孩子不守规矩，比如打架，家长教育不了的，就要你换学校了，当然，你有权不换，但是你家孩子一刺头，估计在学校也不待见，所以在国外教育孩子礼貌，比书本知识要更优先。
