Robots that steal human jobs should pay taxes
While Indian Finance Ministry is more worried about the tax evasion by people who really come under taxing, America's most successful entrepreneur and richest businessman Bill Gates has a new suggestion for US government on taxing non-manual bodies. The co-founder and former CEO of Microsoft says, 'all the robot machines that steal human work should be taxed.'
According to Gates, the amount of man power that is reduced by a robot in any factory of US needs to be taxed at the rate of number of humans required to finish same amount of work. His intention behind the above suggestion lies in helping employees who are likely to face lay off because of automation in the coming days.
The 61-year-old Bill Gates, who's also a philanthropist, has reportedly said that the revenues generated from robot tax could be used to finance jobs that take care of elderly people or working with kids in schools.
Since the usage of robots has raised in the recent past, the taxation would absolutely dis-intensify the fast spread of automation across the globe. Speaking to an international website, Gates further said, 'few taxes can be made out of profits on the labour- saving efficiency and few can come directly from robot tax. I don't think the robot companies are going to be worried that there might be a tax.'
It remains to be seen how the Donald Trump's government to going to respond to Gates' advise. - See more at: http://www.gulte.com/movienews/5 ... thash.zkP44rYU.dpuf
