翩若惊鸿纯学习讨论一下：第一句里的开头是不是可以用：keep life always splended as summer flowers and death as...

开头第一句是引用了泰戈尔的《飞鸟集》，后面的才是我展开写的。从字面理解上看，你这样是可以的，就象别人用稍现代一点的英语解释莎翁一样，但从韵味上来说却差远了。

来看这一句的韵: Let life be beautiful like summer flowers and death like autumn leaves.

以/l/开头的单词: Let, life, like, leaves, 再加flower.
尾韵: /z/ 明显
元音韵:
/ai/:  life, like(两次)
/i:/ : be, leaves
/e/: let, death
长元音: beautiful, autumn, leaves
朗读时我们可以这样(^为短暂停顿节奏):
Let life be  beautiful ^ like summer flowers ^ and death like autumn leaves.
这样长短元音和辅音可全部都照顾到。

如果写成 Keep life always splended as summer flowers and death as autumn leaves.
/l/ : life, 加splendid, flower
短a : as 两次
长元音:  keep, always, leaves
读起来:
Keep life always ^ splended as summer flowers ^and death as autumn leaves.

整个韵味差很远。

第二句:
I hope thou feel pleased in my singing. I know that thou canst hear my voice.

/o/: Hope, thou(两次), know
/i:/: feel, please,
短a: that, canst
尾韵 /st/和/zd/: pleased, canst, 要注意的是下面that 的/t/，因为接下的是th, 所以是略音了。

voice 和上句尾韵/z/相呼应。

朗读:
I hope thou ^ feel pleased ^ in my singing. ^ I know tha(t) ^ thou canst ^ hear my voice.

这样前后的韵就出来了。

jing1025 难怪LZ注重孩子朗读，读出来更能体会到这些韵律。

我们现阶段已经慢慢加入短诗方面的朗读，因为女儿是学过音乐的，所以在朗读节奏感方面已经超过我了。

最近我们读的:

Good, better, best,

Never let is rest,

Till good is better,

And better best.

只要发音正确，整个小诗是很容易读出节奏来的。最后一句，她很自然地在better 和 best 之间加入节奏停顿，我虽然也知道要停顿，但是停顿时间上把握差很多，所以整体韵味她比我读的强很多。

第三句:
At the gate of death and liberty, I can see flashes of thy brilliance.

/t/ : at, gate, liberty,
/v/ : of 两次
元音尾韵: 长/i:/和短/i/ : liberty, see. 严格来说，liberty 最后的/ti/的/i/要比在词中读长一点，这个在美国英语里面更明显。
/s/: brilliance　继续和前句呼应。
短a: at, can, flashes

朗读:
At the gate of ^ death and liberty, ^ I can see ^ flashes of ^ thy brilliance.

要注意的朗读时其实不用太刻意去停顿位置，只要把握好节奏就行。

第四句:
O, I am appreciating thy bravety and integrity with all my infinite words, though they are so powerless.

/t/: appreciating, bravety, integrity, infinite
/s/: powerless 与前句呼应。words发音相似了。

起首是抒情的语气词 O, 所以这句的整体为抒情，表现为长元音和双元音较多，如： I, appreciating, thy, bravety, all, my, words, though, they, are, so, powerless.　在朗读上这些单词要读饱满，注意重音和语气上的抑扬顿挫。

朗读:
O, I am appreciating ^ thy bravety and integrity ^ with all my infinite words, ^ though they are so powerless.

Freedom is the wildest dream that we all had, but to realize it we have to sacrifice.

元音:
/i:/: freedom, dream, realize算半个吧.
/ai/: wildest, realize, sacrifice

辅音:
/m/: freedom, dream
/d/和/t/在尾的: had , that, but, it, 词中的to就算半个吧. 其它的就不算了.

朗读:
Freedom is ^ the wildest dream that ^ we all had, but ^ to realize it ^ we have to sacrifice.

Every corner in the cold world, every day and every night, we chase.

/e/: every 三次
/ei/: day, chase, 其实要朗读时night可算半个，都是饱满的双元音.
/o/: corner, cold,

/d/和/t/: cold, world, day, night
/s/: chase 与整诗韵/s/或/z/相呼应。

还要注意这句朗读速度上可以放慢，以回忆和抒情的基调朗读，用长元音和双元音表现。

朗读:
Every corner in the cold world, ^ every day and every night, ^ we chase.

/s/: timeless,　与整诗呼应。

这句朗读基调与上句相同，速度上要慢，最后好象为停止。

第八句:
Chanting with happiness, people remember thy glorious deeds and thy fearless stories.

/s/和/z/: happiness, glorious, deeds, fearless, stories.

这与全诗的主韵脚相呼应。

在朗读上, 这句要带有赞赏的讲述的语气，速度上要不快不慢。

/s/: thunderous，全诗主韵脚.

在朗读上, 前面是带有悲伤的提问语气，后面是悲伤地抒情语气。

最后一句:

/f/和/v/: life, of
/s/: happiness, 全诗主韵脚

双元音和长元音: I, use, all, my, heart, life, pursuit(后面长元音重音)
短元音: liberty, happiness, sing, song, of

这句在表达方式上要注意单词组成。前半句是以长元音和双元音为主，这读起来节奏较慢。但后面渐变成短元音，只是在life和pursuit稍缓一下, 这就成了是以急促短元音为主的感情迸发。以happiness收尾, 短a在英语中无疑是大口型的，强烈表现抒情！

朗读:
I will use all my heart ^ to sing the song of life, ^ liberty, and the pursuit of ^ happiness!
