学习结束后男女生分成两组比赛,复习了两遍新学的生词。男孩子们略胜一筹。不过都很棒哦。
此时下起了雨。于是我们搬家,重新回到樱洲长廊,分角色朗读了新课文。
之后老师和孩子们一起边看图,边提问,重新温习了故事中的主要内容。老师甚至试着最后让孩子们合上书本,提问
how many corners did frog find in the story? where is the first corner?(sencond, third ,fourth)
故事讲完居然已经11点40了。
最后请已经做好准备的eric来给大家讲故事,eric拿来提示用的单词卡,讲述了《逃家小兔》的故事,很有趣的故事哦。不过起来有些孩子并没有完全听懂。因为时间原因,没有办法提问跟孩子们复习故事的内容了。作为第一个讲故事的孩子,小小的eric起了一个好头。很不错。

The Corner
Frog and Toad were caught in
the rain. They ran to Frog’s
house.
“I am all wet,” said Toad.
“The day is spoiled.”
“Have some tea and cake,”
said Frog. “The rain will
stop.
If you stand near the stove,
your clothes will soon be dry.

I will tell you a story while we
are waiting,” said Frog.
“Oh good,” said Toad.

“When I was small, not much
bigger than a polly-wog,” said
Frog, “my father said to me,

I went out to find that corner.

see if spring was on the
other side.”

“No,” said Frog.
“There was only a pine tree,
three pebbles and some

这一天非常凉快。
小朋友们(两个leo, alvin,eric,summer,kitty )还有一位来旁听的妈妈。
leo ye, kitty给大家复述了上一次的故事the corner,leo ye讲的绘声绘色,听的小朋友们呵呵直乐。kitty需要老师帮忙提词,也复述了故事,精神可嘉。
新的故事依然是frog and toad系列。今天学习了 icecream。这个故事非常有趣。toad为了给frog带回冰淇淋,把自己变成了一个浑身棕色巧克力冰淇淋,沾满树枝树叶,头上两个甜筒角的怪物。孩子们边读边笑。
还是老办法,先学习单词 ,然后大家一起开小火车大声朗读故事。

Frog and toad all year: Ice Cream
ICE CREAM
One hot summer day Frog and
Toad sat by the pond.
“I wish we had some sweet, cold
ice cream,” said Frog.
“What a good idea,” said Toad.
“Wait right here, Frog. I will be
back soon.”
Toad went to the store.
He bought two big ice-cream
cones.

Toad licked one of the cones.
“Frog likes chocolate best,” said
Toad,
“and so do I.”

Toad walked along the path.
A large, soft drop of chocolate ice
cream slipped down his arm.
“This ice cream is melting in the
sun,” said Toad.
Toad walked faster.
Many drops of melting ice cream
flew through the air.
They fell down on Toad’s head.

“I must hurry back to Frog!” he
cried.
More and more of the ice cream
was melting.
It dripped down on Toad’s jacket.
It splattered on his pant and on
his feet.
“Where is the path?” cried Toad.
“I cannot see!”

A Mouse ran by.

“I just saw something awful!”
cried the mouse.
“It was big and brown!”
“Something covered with sticks
and leaves is moving this way!”

“What can it be?” asked Frog.
Frog hid behind a rock.

“That thing is Toad!”
Toad fell into the pond.
He sank to the bottom and came

has washed away.”
“Never mind,” said Frog.

“I know what we can do.”
Frog and Toad quickly ran back to
the store.
Then they sat in the shade of a
large tree and ate their chocolate
ice-cream cones together.
最后请leo cao来讲故事。他选择了frog and toad系列中的the button的故事。为了讲故事还准备了衣服和不同形状大小扣眼的扣子。cao妈帮忙扮演toad。很棒哦。
因为学习单词和让小朋友复述故事,所以时间过长了,一个多小时。下次要想办法控制时间才行哦。

雨后的清晨特别清凉。
南师大 德风园孔子像前。人们都出来纳凉。老人孩子特别热闹。我们所在的位置最为阴凉,所以人也相对更多。不过小朋友们已经习惯了,席地而坐。
alvin, eric,apple,kitty, leo 五个小朋友来了,leo cao 因为有事,妈妈来代替听课。
检查作业,今天的内容是practice book 10到12页的作业,照例讲解后发小礼物。
复述故事,上一次学过的beginning story和bees and the mud。apple小朋友有进步,这一次复习的比较好,可以讲述前面的beginning story了,kitty可以讲述后面的bees and mud。 kitty妈妈很抱歉的说,忘记复习前面的beginning story了。alvin可以熟练的朗读,不过无法脱稿复述。eric显然没有复习,所以课文非常的不熟悉,连朗读都非常困难,要加油啊。虽然是比我们小一岁也小一个年级的小弟弟,但是不努力可是没有进步的哦。
说到leo 背诵有点小故事, 因为一周没有复习,他不得不在前一天花了至少140分钟背诵复述上次学的故事。小朋友们听了都咋舌了!没有付出哪有获得。希望leo自己记住每天自己复习一遍,不再重蹈覆辙。140分钟只读一篇文章不是好玩的经历。
下面学习新的故事,2 large stones。依然是老师朗读,然后孩子们回答跟故事相关的问题。之后大家一起来开火车朗读全文。eric妈妈跟孩子们一起读了字母a的最后一部分字母组合读音,算是是phonics的第一个字母画了个逗号。

孩子们进入三年级后(eirc除外)的第一次加州英语课,依然从师生问候开始。当我说
let’s begin的时候,大多数孩子还没有反应。只有leo ye意识到我在做什么,站起来说good moring。
上课开始后直接进入主题。我给孩子们看了加州英语第一册第四单元的第一课 floating home
大家一起看图
teacher:what can you see in the picture?
students: ducks(leo ye说还有鹅,老师知道他说的是图上的那一只大鸭子,所以有意问do you all agree? eric说是duck,真的很棒哦)
我们这样一直讨论下去,问题包括:
what is the relationship between the white duck and the other small ducks?
how many small ducks can you see?(孩子们思维很活跃,说到可能不止图上那么多,也许有藏在水里或者草丛里面的呢)
what can ducks do in the water?
等等
然后才开始读课文。老师读一遍,边读边做动作,让孩子们可以更好的理解课文的内容。之后孩子们看课文,回答老师的问题:
what did we do? ----we went to the lake.
how did we go to the lake?------ we drove to the lake. we went to the lake by car.
when did we go to the lake? ---- we went to the lake last spring.
what can we see in spring?(这是一个开放的问题,孩子们的回答也特别多,flowers, grass, green leaves, dragonflies, butterflies, 甚至ice melting等等,这样的问题可以让每个孩子都参与到讨论里面来)
what did the ducks do? (孩子们根据课文的内容回答了很多, put their necks under the water, opened their bills, ate plants, grass and bugs, floated home)
这样基本上孩子们对课文的内容已经了解了。
老师问,do you have any questions? any word you don't understand?
有个词老师一直没有讲,就是sparkle.所以我们开始讨论what can spakle?来理解这个单词的意思。
孩子们想到很多,比如stars, diamonds, glass, mirror,这样既可以学或者复习一些已经学过的词汇,又能更清楚的理解sparkle的含义。
重点是,每一次孩子们回答问题,我都会要求他们完整的说一句话。
比如,如果回答是stars,就请他说stars can sparkle in the night.在这样反复的练习和交流中,希望孩子们开始慢慢的说英语的句子,而不仅仅是单个的单词。
这篇课文是用过去式写的,所以我们学习了was和were的区别,简单举了几个例子说明。
布置作业,孩子们需要回去做完on leve practice的练习册上128页的作业,这是对课文的一个复习,会要求写出课文中的关键单词。
另外增加了grammar practice的76-78页的练习,巩固was和were的用法。
最后,我特别抢到了礼貌礼仪的问题,对在课上走神或者小动作很多的eric和两个leo分别处以扣1到2快乐币的处罚。我特别强调,对老师要特别尊重,不可以在回答老师问题的时候有意开玩笑说“不好”或者“不行”,对所有老师都要尊重,老师问问题,学生回答的时候需要用完整的句子回答来表示对老师的尊重,不可以简单的说“嗯”或者点头。做人比学习知识更为重要。既然他们选择了做我的学生,我就有权利和义务教他们如果做人做事。
希望孩子们一天天成长成熟,不断进步。加油,孩子们!
小朋友先在公园里面疯玩了好一会,等正式上课已经快11点了。
上一次的a swim是一个比较长的故事。不过kitty 和两个leo还是很棒哦,都会熟练的复述故事。其他的三个小朋友看书一起接龙讲了一遍故事。
开始学习单词卡。这一次总结出来的单词比较少。小组竞赛依然是平手。
然后开始新课咯。这一课是leo ye挑选出来的,比起上一个故事要简单一点。不过内容很好哦。很有爱的一个故事。
