It was a long trip: the airplane was delayed, and we arrived at our destination very late at midnight. Our parents slept in the house. We kids slept too, but in a cozy Mongolian tent.
The next day, we woke up early at 7:30 to eat breakfast. After that, we went to the tent to see Mr. Cheng, the coach. We were going hiking in the mountain. All the way, we saw a lot of interesting things, such as hopping crickets, wild flowers, strange leaves, lovely mushrooms, huge ant nests and plant roots that could cure fevers.
In the afternoon, we rested for like an hour. Then, we went to see some plain animals like wolves, owls, hawks, cows, and Mongolian greyhounds. They were fun…to watch!
Next, we went to the plain for horse-riding! Ms. Chun (the other coach) told us how to befriend a horse: you had to touch his front gently (not too softly and not too hard). This way, the horse would relax and think you were nice to him, and would befriend you, too.
I rode a black horse with white stripes on his butt. Strange, huh? He was naughty too: he got me and the horse-keeper up and down on his back. But it did feel good!
This trip has been FUN! I wish I could visit the same place again next time.
Amy,
Kelly had been planning the Halloween trick for days. She told me she would try on Amy because she's the nicest teacher. :) She knew the yellow little man character but is not enthusiastic about watching the cartoon movie Despicable Me. Thank you for the wonderful class! By the way, she has recorded some stories from Mr. Men at a website called Ximalaya.
