How the oil spill can harm water plants and animals（homework ,G3）

The crude oil spill happened more and more each year. It’s very harmful for the marine charaters.
When the crude oil spill from the oil tank, the dark slick will float over the surface of the ocean, which will cut off the air and the plants and animals underwater, but also can stain the birds who swim or stay at beaches. Each time we can see many pictures about seabirds, such as gulls, eagles were sticky with heavy patchy, and almost they will soon die in such a case.
The shallow water body is a ecosystem. If there were thousands of seabirds died, it would cause the other animals and plants died or increased. That means oil spill has a long-term harmful effect the sea enviornment. So people should be more careful and responsible when they carry the oil over the sea.
