洋洋平时在学校的作文本、数学练习本什么都是不拿回家的，只是学期结束时，才拿回来。我今天接他放学的时候，到他教室里翻了翻他的本子，看看这几周都学了什么。发现他的Writing本子上写的几篇文章还挺好玩的，就抄下两篇贴上来。应该他们这几周在学习写信，几篇文章都是书信格式，写给不同的对象。信的内容是老师提大体要求，比如介绍你的家庭文化，编一个虚构的小故事，介绍一次旅行等等。

Dear reader

The reason for writing this letter is that you can know more about my culture and tradition. My family are from China but I was born in Australia. On Chinese New Year Eve we eat delicious food and do some cleaning up. On Chinese New Year Day we say “Happy New Year” to your family and you get red pockets with money inside. You can use the money to buy things. Parents can give as much money as they want. On Chinese New Year day, we eat different kinds of dumplings. We also watch a Chinese New Year gala. In this year’s gala, my favourite performance is a magic show and Celine Dion singing Titanic’s theme song.

Dear Mum and Dad

You think I broke the TV Set, but I really did not. This is what really happened.

I was upstairs playing on my laptop when suddenly I heard an ear-piercing crash and I hurried down the stairs to see what it was… And I let out a scream! Standing in front of me was a hairy huge Cyclops with a mace as big as a 62cm radio. The Cyclops was as tall as two men. Then I fainted with a thud. The last thing I saw was the Cyclops smashing the TV set. I fainted for about half an hour. When I woke up, the Cyclops was gone. Then three minutes later you came back and blamed me for what had happened. So now I am telling you THIS IS WHAT REALLY HAPPENED!!!
